What about the name?
Back in the day, computer monitors could only display 256 different colors. This resulted in colors that we would say today looked a little grainy and ugly, but I see it as where we, as graphic designers and web developers, started. I like to adhere to old style principles, like efficient code and consistent content layout, while mixing in new and exciting technologies, like HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and other fun web standards.
